The TREMLINE ROOF ASSEMBLY (TRA) utilizes TRA elastomeric sheet and THERMastic 100, a proprietary hot applied elastomeric modified bitumen adhesive for fully adhering the TRA Sheet. TRA sheet is formulated from a select composition of polymers, reinforced with scrim.

;1.1 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
:.1 TRA Fully-Adhered: Install TRA sheeting into a 2.5 to 3.4 L / m² (5 to 7 gal / square) coat of THERMastic (B); overlay and adhere laps of adjacent TRA sheets with THERMastic (B); apply reflective coating to entire membrane; surface with polyethylene prior to installing polystyrene insulation, scrim and ballast.
:.2 TRA Partially-Adhered: Install TRA sheeting; overlap and adhere laps of adjacent TRA sheets with THERMastic (B) at the rate of 2.5 to 3.4 L / m² (5 to 7 gal / square) ensuring THERMastic (B) extends beyond lap onto a substrate 178 mm to 203 mm (7" to 8") to provide partial bond; over pour laps with THERMastic (B); install ballast; surface with polyethylene prior to installing polystyrene insulation, scrim and ballast.

;3.1 PREPARATION
:.1 Ensure surfaces receiving membrane are smooth, clean and dry.
:.2 Ensure wood blocking, curbs and cant strips are solidly secured and reglets and nailing strips are in place as required.
:.3 Prepare substrate and apply roofing membrane in accordance with good roofing practices as outlined by RGC for the specific desk type.

;3.2 APPLICATION
:.1 THERMastic 100 Preparation:
::Preparation of THERMastic 100:hot applied elastomeric modified bitumen . THERMastic 100 is to be heated in a conventional roofing kettle, equipped with accurate thermometers and a circulating pump. During heating, material temperature is not to exceed +260°C (+500°F), and must be applied at not less than +218°C (+425°F).
:.2 TRA Sheet Application
::.1 Placement:
:::Plan the placement of TRA sheets to facilitate the fabrication of the least number of seams; starting at the low point, position the uppermost to overlap the adjacent sheet by 102 mm (4") + 3 mm (1/8").
::.2 Fully-Adhered: Apply THERMastic 100 at the rate of 1.2 kg / m² (25 lb / square) to substrate and along the inside edge of the adjacent TRA sheet ensuring the THERMastic 100 extends onto the adjacent sheet 102 mm to 127 mm (4" to 5"): immediately roll out the top sheet into the hot THERMastic 100; roll or broom the sheet to ensure that it is properly embedded, without wrinkles, blisters or fishmouths.
::.3 Apply THERMastic 100 over the lap at the rate of 1.2 kg / m² (25 lb / square) such that the THERMastic extends 51 mm to 76 mm (2" to 3") on either side of the leading edge.
:.3 Flashings
::.1 Ensure continuity of air / vapour seal at all changes in direction.
::.2 Install one ply of TRA sheeting into THERMastic 100; overcoat all lap edges with THERMastic 100.
::.3 Ensure that flashing membrane extends onto roof membrane a minimum of 150 mm (6") and terminates a minimum of 200 mm (8") above roof membrane on walls.
::.4 Mechanically fasten flashing membrane 200 mm to 300 mm (8" to 12") on centre along outside fascia and along upper edge of wall flashing.
;3.3 SURFACING
:.1 Install 300 mm (12") strips of polyethylene on the cured overpours of the installed TRA. Place the specified thickness of extruded polystyrene insulation, woven polyolefin scrim fabric and ballast at the rate of 49 kg / sqm (1000 lb / square).

PREPARATION
:.1 The deck must be properly designed and constructed to support and secure the TRA – LRM roof system.
:.2 The surface to which the roofing system is to be installed must be smooth, clean and dry.
:.3 Ensure wood blocking, curbs and cant strips are solidly secured and reglets and nailing strips are in place as required.
:.4 Prepare substrate in accordance with good roofing practices as outlined by RGC for the specific deck type.

MEMBRANE APPLICATION</h3>
:.1 Plan the placement of TRA sheets to facilitate the fabrication of the least number of seams; starting at the low point, position the uppermost to overlap the adjacent sheet by 102 mm (4").
:.2 Apply Tremlar LRM (horizontal grade) by notched squeegee to the substrate at the minimum rate of 1.2 sqm / litre (2 gal / sq). Immediately roll the TRA into the Tremlar, ensuring the sheet is fully adhered without wrinkles, blisters or fishmouths.
:.3 Apply Tremlar LRM over the 100 mm (4") lap of the first sheet and out onto the substrate of the second sheet. Install the second sheet.
:.4 Apply Tremlar LRM (vertical grade) and Burmesh over all laps such that the Tremlar extends 50-75 mm (2-3"). on either side of the leading edge.
:.5 Install the third and succeeding rolls as outlined above.
:.6 Fit plies into roof drain rims, reinforce with elastomeric sheeting adhered with Tremlar.
:.7 Extend plies only to top edges of can strips along bases of parapets, walls and skylights.

FLASHINGS
:.1 Ensure continuity of air / vapour seal at all changes in directions.
:.2 Install one ply of TRA Sheeting into Tremlar LRM (vertical grade).
:.3 Ensure that flashing extends onto roof membrane a minimum of 150 mm (6") and terminates a minimum of 200 mm (8").above roof membrane.
:.4 Mechanically fasten flashing membrane 200-300 mm (8-12") on centre, along outside fascia and along upper edge of wall flashing.
:.5 Install metal counterflashing or apply One-Coat Aluminum as a protective reflective coating at the rate of 0.8 litres / sqm (2 gal / 100 sq. ft).
