Product Group: STANDING SEAM METAL ROOF SYSTEM – QUADRO Snap Seam – SS150 Panel
- DESCRIPTION
Quadro Panel Machine is an on-site/in-shop continuous metal roofing panel roll forming machine. This machine produces Snap Seam – SS 150 with a seam height of 38 mm (1-1/2"). This machine can produce either a Nail Strip System or a Clip system. Panels can be produced for 225 mm (9") to 400 mm (16") wide.
On-site roll forming provides for the elimination of end laps with continuous panel forming capabilities in lengths up to nominal 46 m (150').
- 1.1 GENERAL
- The roofing assembly / material information published in the RCABC Roofing Practices Manual DOES NOT represent a complete set of the manufacturer's published data, nor does it represent a detailed specification. The preparation of a detailed specification is the responsibility of the design authority.
- 1.2 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
- .1 Standing seam panels use a hidden fastening clip system for mechanical fastening to a solid substrate. The maximum spacing of the clips is 600 mm (24") on centre. The panels are locked together with the clips as part of the seam, by use of a mechanical seamer.
- .2 Range of application: on wood or metal sloped roofs; in commercial, institutional, industrial and residential construction; for reroofing or new construction.
- .3 Panel Attachment:
- Fasteners (Screws)
- Fasteners used to attach panel clips to plywood to be No. 10-12 by 25 mm (1") long pancake head, No. 2 Phillips drive, A-point, coated steel screw. Minimum two fasteners per clip to be used.
- Roof Deck Fasteners (Panel Clips)
- One piece assembly 43.75 mm (1-3/4") wide, 31 mm (1-1/4") high. Minimum thickness 0.022". (No. 22 MSG). Clips spaced 600 mm (24") on centre fastened to plywood deck. Quadro 150 Clip.
- 1.3 SITE CONDITIONS
- .1 Minimum roof slope is 1:4 (3" in 12"). Severe conditions (heavy snow or ice) minimum slope is 1:1.5 (8" in 12").
- 1.4 PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
- Wind Uplift Standards: Engineered designs to resist wind uplift may refer to the British Columbia Building Code, Div. B, Appendix C, Table C-2 which lists various types of loads, including wind loads, for specific reference locations throughout the province. See also Guides and Notes (Wind Resistance) for a simplified calculation procedure. Regardless of the resources indicated here, the Design Authority is responsible to perform accurate wind load calculations and specify securement requirements.
- Materials:RoofStar (RGC) accepted metal panel systems shall be formed of steel conforming to the standards published in the Architectural Sheet Metal (ASM) Roof Standards.
