(1) Valley Protection Membrane: Accepted self-adhered modified bituminous eave protection membrane.
(2) Valley flashing
(3) Fastening: Metal valley panels to be secured with compatible, non-corrosive, flat head fasteners 200 mm (8") o/c. Metal roof panel to metal valley panel overlap must be a minimum of 125 mm (5"). See 10.3.5.2.2 (5).
(4) Valley panel overlap: Overlaps minimum 200 mm (8") sealed with two rows of acceptable sealant or butyl tape, and secured with drag load fasteners.
(5) Membrane flashing: Accepted self-adhered modified bituminous eave protection membrane.
(6) Underlayment: The type of underlay required is determined by roof slope.
(7) Ventilation layer: A ventilation space is required on slopes less than 1:3; entangled mesh (shown) may be used as void fill. The ventilation space facilitates drying as condensation forms on the underside of the metal panels.
