Product Summary
A non-combustible rigid mineral fibre board manufactured from basalt rock and steel slag with a melting point of 2180ºF (1195ºC), excellent fire resistance properties and stable thermal values. Laminated with a top layer of fortified asphalt protection board for strength and versatility of application.
Applications: Torched, hot mopped or cold applied BUR and Modified Bituminous roofing systems. Can be fully adhered, mechanically fastened, loose-laid or in ballasted single-ply roofing systems.
Dimensions: Butt edge 60 cm (2') x 120 cm (4') and 90 cm (3') x 120 cm (4').
Slope: Unlimited; Minimum starting thickness 0" (nominal).
Compliance: CAN/CGSB 2-51.31-M84, ASTM C726 Compressive strength of mineral fibre only at 10% deformation - ASTM C165: 90 kPa (13 psi).
R Factor: R4 per inch
RSI .7 / 25 mm


SPECIFICATION

MF - Protect Board Composite consists of mineral fibre insulation, factory laminated with a 3 mm (1/8") asphalt board facer with square edges. All tapered panels shall have a uniform slope and all valley corners and crickets to be factory mitred by Posi-Slope Ent. Inc. All boards to be clearly coded and shall provide arrows to indicate the slope direction of each board. Manufacture in accordance with architect approved pre-engineered shop drawings by Posi-Slope.
