Product Summary
PERMA-BOARD is a semi-rigid waterproof sheet with a rubberized asphalt core sandwiched within two layers of fibreglass reinforcement. Available with a smooth poly film surface finish or a sanded finish. PERMA-BOARD is compatible with all asphalt roofing systems and is unaffected by moisture and will not rot.
PERMA-BOARD Asphalt Base Board / Overlay
Uses: PERMA-BOARD is designed to be used as an overlay to insulation and as a base for modified, built-up and single ply membranes. Elastomeric roofing membranes or built-up roofing may be heat welded or hot mopped directly to PERMA-BOARD, creating a thick waterproofing layer. The asphalt board becomes an integral part of the roof membrane making it stronger and more puncture resistant than it would otherwise be.
Performance Properties: Tensile Strength @ 23°C 590 N / 25 mm (135 lb. / in.)
Puncture Strength @ 23°C > 450 N / 1 cm. sq.
Softening Point Temperature 105°C (221°F)
Maximum Water Absorption 0.5%
Physical Properties: Dimensions 1 m x 2 m (40" x 80" nominal size)
Thickness 4.5 mm (3/16") nominal
Weight 10.4 Kg (23 lb.) Per sheet nominal
Reinforcement Two plies, fibreglass mat
