Specifying a RoofStar Guarantee
1 RoofStar Guarantee
(The following sample wordings may be used by the specifier, for a project intended to qualify for a RoofStar Guarantee)
1.1 Quality Assurance
1.1.1 Specifications
1.1.1.1 Sample Wording
- Specifying authorities requesting the RoofStar Guarantee may insert the following wording into their specifications:
- Workmanship standards conform to the latest RoofStar Guarantee Standards as published in the RoofStar Roofing Practices Manual for a RoofStar Guarantee, unless modified by the contract documents to exceed these minimums.
- Independent Observations (preferred wording)
- performed using an independent observation company acceptable to the RoofStar Guarantee Program, the Owner and the consultant.
- performed as required by the RoofStar Guarantee Program.
- Observation costs are to be paid directly by the owner.
- Independent Observation (optional wording)
- performed using an Independent Observation company acceptable to the RoofStar Guarantee Program, the owner and the consultant, to be assigned by the RoofStar Guarantee Program.
- performed as required by the RoofStar Guarantee Program.
Observation costs are included in this contract.
1.2 Guarantee
1.2.1 Specifications
1.2.1.1 Sample Wording
- Provide the RoofStar Guarantee for five, ten or fifteen years.
