Asphalt Shingle Details
1 WORK INCLUDED
- (1) Underlayment
- Underlayment on the upper slope must overlap the metal transition flashing and lower slope underlayment.
- (2) Self-adhered (eave protection) Membrane
- Optional for this slope change configuration, to seal the upper edge of the metal transition flashing. When installed, the SA membrane must overlap the metal by at least 50 mm (2”) and extend upslope past the edge of the lower slope underlayment by at least 50 mm (2”).
- (3) Metal Transition Flashing
- The lower leg must measure at least 100 mm (4”); the upper leg should measure at least 125 mm (5”).
- (4) Starter Shingle
- (5) Shingle
