Asphalt Shingle Details
1 WORK INCLUDED
- (1) Underlayment
- Required, and installed to overlap the Valley Protection Membrane and the Valley Metal Flashing. Install ‘shingle-style’, following the requirements for side and end laps; use acceptable fasteners, or adhere (if a self-adhering membrane) in keeping with the manufacturer’s published requirements.
- (2) Eave Protection Membrane
- Applied beneath the metal valley flashing.
- (3) Shingles (field)
- (4) Metal Counterflashing/Headwall Flashing.
- (5) Metal Edge Flashing
- (refer to the related Membrane Standards, 10.3.5.2 Metal Edge Terminations).
- (6) Field Membrane
- (refer to the related Membrane Standards, Part 9 FIELD MEMBRANE and Part 10 PERIMETERS and WALLS).
