OVERVIEW

The New Tech SSQ2 is an on-site continuous panel metal roofing machine. Panel profiles vary from 300 mm (12") to 610 mm (24") wide; stiffening ribs are standard.

On-site roll forming provides for the elimination of end laps with continuous panel forming capabilities. Note that the maximum length of this panel is restricted in the "RGC Standard for Architectural Sheet Metal (ASM) Roofs" to 10 m (30') because of the coefficient of expansion (Ref. Article 9.2.1.1., Sentence (8)). This panel is also suitable for application only on a solid substrate (uninsulated roofs).

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

  1. General: The MK FF100 Snap Lock is a flange-fastened, concealed fastener roofing panel, secured with screws through a flange along one side of the panel. The panel can be formed in any width between 300 mm (12") to 610 mm (24"). The male leg locks along the entire length of the panel and does not rely upon clips to provide additional locking.
  2. Range of application: on wood or metal sloped roofs; in commercial, institutional, industrial and residential construction; for re-roofing or new construction.
  3. Fabrication:
    1. Unless otherwise shown on drawings or specified herein, fabricate panels in continuous one piece lengths and fabricate flashings and accessories in longest practical lengths.
    2. Roofing panels shall be factory formed or site formed.
    3. Verify prior to fabrication.
    4. If field measurements differ from drawing dimensions, notify Architect / Professional Engineer prior to fabrication.
  4. Fasteners (Screws): Fasteners used to secure the panel to the deck to be determined by engineering requirements.
  5. Deck Requirements: in keeping with the Standard for Architectural Sheet Metal (ASM) Systems.
