- Vangard 42 IR is a 42-inch wide laminate shingle coated on both faces with an elastomeric modified asphalt, and is surfaced with mineral granules. "IR" refers to the product's impact resistance (UL2218 Class 4).

- Conditions and Limitations
- Installation on roofs with slopes greater than 1:3 (4" in 12") is typical. For installation on lower slopes (1:6 to 1:3), refer to the low slope application requirements published by the manufacturer.
