NOTE: See also Accepted Roof Deck Overlay Board products |
For RoofStar Guarantee Standards pertaining to Deck and Wall Overlays, refer to the appropriate subsections in either Low Slope Membrane Roof Systems or for ASM (Architectural Sheet Metal) Roof Systems.
Deck and wall overlays (also called a system underlays) are installed under the roof system and over the supporting deck or wall structure, to provide a suitable substrate for roof materials. These products are most commonly placed over steel decks to provide a level surface for the membrane, or as a thermal barrier between the roof deck and combustible insulation.
