SBS Details
1 WORK INCLUDED
- (1) Valley protection membrane
- Accepted self-adhered modified bituminous eave protection membrane.
- (2) Valley Metal Panel
- Preformed with centre rib.
- (3) Metal panel clip
- Installed to metal roof panel manufacturer's printed instructions.
- (4) Valley panel overlap
- Overlaps minimum 200 mm (8") sealed with two rows of acceptable sealant or butyl tape, and secured with drag load fasteners.
- (5) Membrane flashing
- Accepted self-adhered modified bituminous eave protection membrane.
- (6) Underlayment
- The type of underlay required is determined by roof slope.
- (7) Ventilation layer
- A ventilation space is required on slopes less than 1:3; entangled mesh (shown) may be used as void fill. The ventilation space facilitates drying as condensation forms on the underside of the metal panels.
- (8) Sealant or pre-formed closures
- Required at the bottom ends of panels.
- (9) Architectural metal roof panel
