OVERVIEW

The SS 100 standing seam panel is formed with an on-site/in-shop continuous metal roofing panel roll forming machine (New Tech Machinery Panel Machine). This machine produces Seam Lock - SS 100 with a seam height of 25.4 mm (1"); profiles can vary from 304.8 mm (12") wide up to 533.4 mm (21") wide. The machine also produces the SS 150 Seam Lock panel with a seam height of 38.1 mm (1-1/2").

On-site roll forming provides for the elimination of end lap with continuous panel forming capabilities in lengths up to nominal 46 m (150').

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

  1. General: The SS 100 panel is a standing seam concealed fastener roofing panel. The maximum spacing of the clip is 609.6 mm (24") on center.
  2. Range of application: Installed on wood or metal sloped roofs; in commercial, institutional, industrial and residential construction; for re-roofing or new construction.
  3. Panel Attachment: Fastening is site specific, engineer must confirm fixing specifications.
  4. Fasteners (Screws):
    1. Fasteners used to attach panels to plywood to be No. 10-12 by 25 mm (1") long pancake head wood screws. Minimum two fasteners per clip to be used.
  5. Panel Clips: One-piece assembly 43.75 mm (1-3/4") wide, 31 mm (1-1/4") high. Minimum thickness 0.022 in. (No. 22 MSG). Clips spaced maximum 609.6 mm (24") on center maximum, or as specified on engineered shop drawings (Ref. Standard for Architectural Sheet Metal (ASM) Roof Systems, Article 3.1.3.3. and Article 3.1.3.5.).
  6. Deck Requirements: in keeping with the Standard for Architectural Sheet Metal (ASM) Systems.
