OVERVIEW
The Snap Lock II 675 Panel is an on-site continuous panel metal made with the New Tech Machinery SSQ II Machine. This machine produces a snap-lock panel seam with a seam height of 44 mm (1-3/4") and profiles can vary from 300 mm (12") wide up to 500 mm (20") wide.
On-site roll forming provides for the elimination of end laps with continuous panel forming capabilities in lengths up to nominal 46 m (150').
SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
- General: The SSQ675 44 mm (1-3/4") Snap-Lock profile is a snap lock concealed fastener roofing panel. The panel can be formed in any width between 300 mm (12") and 450 mm (18"). Stiffening ribs, striations and / or clip relief can be added depending in the application. The male leg locks along the entire length of the panel and does not rely upon clips to provide additional locking. The SS675 utilizes 153 mm (6-1/8") of metal in forming the panel legs providing greater structural integrity, which can carry greater loads.
- Range of application: On wood or metal sloped roofs; in commercial, institutional, industrial and residential construction; for re-roofing or new construction.
- Panel Coverage: 300 mm (12") to 600 mm (24")
- Panel Attachment: Fastening is site specific, engineer must confirm fixing specifications.
- Fasteners (Screws):
- Fasteners used to attach panel clips to steel to be No. 10-16 by 25 mm (1") long cadmium plated pancake head No. 2 Phillips drive, No. 3 self-drilling point steel screws. Two screws per clip inserted through 6.25 mm (1/4") diameter guide holes.
- Panel Clips: One piece assembly, No. 22 MSG min thick, 87.5 mm (3-1/2") wide, 47.6 mm (1-7/8 in.) high. One panel clip spaced at 600 mm (24") on centre, or as specified on engineered shop drawings (Ref. Standard for Architectural Sheet Metal (ASM) Roof Systems, Article 3.1.3.3. and Article 3.1.3.5.).
- Deck Requirements: in keeping with the Standard for Architectural Sheet Metal (ASM) Systems.
