OVERVIEW

The BA-Versaclip (SS 675) standing seam panel is formed with an on-site/in-shop continuous metal roofing panel roll forming machine (New Tech SS Multipro). This machine produces a standing seam panel with a seam height of 44.5 mm (1.75") and profiles can vary from 304.8 mm (12") wide up to 457.2 mm (18") wide. This machine also produces FF 100 (BA-Versasnap), SS 100 (BA-Versaspan 100), SS 150 (BA-Versaspan 150).

On-site roll forming provides for the elimination of end laps with continuous panel forming capabilities in lengths up to 200' plus (depending on coil size and handling/maneuvering.

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

  1. General: The BA-Versaclip (SS 675) is a standing seam concealed fastener roof panel. The panel is attached with clips to allow for expansion and contraction. The maximum spacing of the clips and fasteners are 76.2 mm (3').
  2. Range of application: Installed on wood or steel sloped roofs, in commercial, institutional, industrial and residential construction. For re-roofing or new construction. BA-Versaclip has the greatest structural properties compared BA-Versasnap (FF 100), BA-Versaspan 100 (SS 100), BA-Versaspan 150 (SS 150).
  3. Panel Attachment: Fasteners are fixed through clips that hook onto the male leg of the panel. Spacing is site specific, engineer must confirm fixing specifications.
  4. Fasteners (Screws): Fasteners used to attach panel clips to steel to be No. 10-16 by 25 mm (1") long cadmium plated pancake head No. 2 Phillips drive, No. 3 self-drilling point steel screws. Two screws per clip inserted through 6.25 mm (1/4") diameter guide holes.
  5. Panel Clips: One-piece assembly, No. 22 MSG min thick, 87.5 mm (3-1/2") wide, 47.6 mm (1-7/8 in.) high. One panel clip spaced at 600 mm (24") O.C. for Class 90.
  6. Deck Requirements: in keeping with the Standard for Architectural Sheet Metal (ASM) Systems.
