Schlebach 1"
by Lam Metal Contracting Ltd.
The metal panel listed and described below is accepted for use in the RoofStar Guarantee Program. |
The roofing assembly / material information published below and in the RCABC Roofing Practices Manual DOES NOT represent a complete set of the manufacturer's published data, nor does it represent a detailed specification. The preparation of a detailed specification is the responsibility of the design authority. For more information about this product or system, consult the manufacturer. |
OVERVIEW
The Schlebach 1" Standing Seam metal roofing is a shop formed and an on-site continuous panel metal roofing machine. Panel profiles vary from 300 mm (12") to 500 mm (20") (standard width is 13", 15" or 20") with a seam height of 1". It can be rolled square, tapered and curved. It comes with no stiffening rib, with stiffening ribs and striation.
SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
- General: Standing seam panels employ a hidden fastening system for securement to a solid substrate. Panels are seamed together with a mechanical seamer.
- Range of application: on wood or metal sloped roofs; in commercial, institutional, industrial and residential construction; for re-roofing or new construction.
- Fasteners (Screws): To secure panel clips to steel, use No. 12-16 by 22 mm (1") long self-drilling, self-tapping, hex-washer head plated steel screws without sealing washers. Two fasteners per panel clip used, inserted into panel clip guide holes.
- Panel Clips: Two-piece assembly consisting of a No. 18 or No. 16 MSG min. thick coated steel base approximately 22 mm (1") wide x 125 mm (5") long and No. 24 MSG min thick steel upper tap section height 22 mm (1") as manufactured by metal Roofing Supply Inc. in Denver. One panel clip spaced at 600 mm (24") O.C.
- Deck Requirements: in keeping with the Standard for Architectural Sheet Metal (ASM) Systems.
