Product Group: STANDING SEAM METAL ROOF SYSTEM – SCHLEBACH QUADRO Standing Seam System

DESCRIPTION

The Schlebach Quadro Panel Machine is an on-site/in-shop continuous metal roofing and soffit panel roll forming machine. This machine produces 25 mm (1")and 38 mm (1.5") seam heights in Snap lock, Nail strip and 25 mm (1") and 38 mm (1.5") and 50 mm (2") seam heights in Mechanical Lock profiles. Panels can be produced in widths from 225 mm (9") wide to 500 mm (20") wide.

On-site roll forming provides for the elimination of end laps with continuous panel forming capabilities in lengths up to 46 m (150').

1.1 GENERAL

The roofing assembly / material information published in the RCABC Roofing Practices Manual DOES NOT represent a complete set of the manufacturer's published data, nor does it represent a detailed specification. The preparation of a detailed specification is the responsibility of the design authority.

1.2 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
.1 Standing seam panels utilize a hidden fastening clip system for mechanical fastening to a solid substrate. The maximum spacing of the clips in the snap lock or mechanically locked system is 600 mm OC (24"). The panels are locked together with the clips as part of the seam, by use of friction in the case of the Snap lock profiles, or by use of a mechanical seamer in the case of the mechanically locked profiles..
.2 Range of application: on wood or metal sloped roofs; in commercial, institutional, industrial and residential construction. This product is acceptable for re-roofing or new construction applications.
.3 Panel Attachment:
Fasteners (Screws)
Fasteners used to attach panel nail strip or clips to plywood to be No. 10 by min 25 mm (1") pancake head, No. 2 Phillips drive, A-point, coated steel screw. Minimum two fasteners per clip to be used.
Roof Deck Fasteners (Panel Clips)
One piece assembly 43.75 mm (1-3/4") wide, heights to suit seam height as per manufacturer's requirements. Minimum clip thickness 0.022" (No. 22 MSG). Clips spaced maximum 600 mm (24") on centre fastened to plywood or steel deck. Minimum of two fasteners used Schlebach / Quadro Fixed Clip.
Two piece assembly to be used for longer panel lengths, clip to be Schlebach approved 22 ga, 87.5 mm (3-1/2") wide by appropriate height to suit seam height chosen. One panel clip spaced a min. of maximum of 600 mm (24") OC.
1.3 SITE CONDITIONS
.1 Minimum roof slope is 1:6 (2" in 12"). Contact manufacturer for installation practice in extreme weather areas.
1.4 PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
  1. Wind Uplift Standards: Engineered designs to resist wind uplift may refer to the British Columbia Building Code, Div. B, Appendix C, Table C-2 which lists various types of loads, including wind loads, for specific reference locations throughout the province. See also Guides and Notes (Wind Resistance) for a simplified calculation procedure. Regardless of the resources indicated here, the Design Authority is responsible to perform accurate wind load calculations and specify securement requirements.
  2. Materials:RoofStar (RGC) accepted metal panel systems shall be formed of steel conforming to the standards published in the Architectural Sheet Metal (ASM) Roof Standards.
