OVERVIEW

The Knudson P-2401 is an on-site continuous metal roll forming machine. Panel profiles vary from 200 mm (8") to 610 mm (24") wide with a seam height of 38 mm (1 1/2").

On-site roll forming provides for the elimination of end laps with continuous panel forming capabilities.

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

  1. General: Standing seam panels employ a hidden fastening system for securement to a solid substrate. Panels are seamed together with a mechanical seamer.
  2. Range of application: on wood or metal sloped roofs; in commercial, institutional, industrial and residential construction; for re-roofing or new construction.
  3. Fasteners (Screws): For panel clip to steel connections, use No. 10 by 25 mm (1") long self-drilling, self-tapping hex washer – head plated steel screws used without sealing washers. Two fasteners per panel clip to be used inserted through guide holes OR No. 10-16 Phillips pancake head screws may be used. Length to be 25 mm (1"). Three fasteners per clip to be used for pancake head type, inserted through guide holes.
  4. Panel Clips:
    1. Two-part assembly consisting of a coated steel base, No. 20 MSG min thick and a coated steel tab No. 24 MSG thick, overall height min 40.9 mm (1-5/8"), max 62.5 mm (2 1/2"), base width 150 mm (6") tab width 300 mm (12") located at sides of panel over attachment point. Knudson Manufacturing Inc. – “I.M.C. 2401 Sliding Strip Clip.” Fastened 600 mm (24") O.C.
    2. One-part panel clip assembly, No. 22 MSG min thick. Overall height – min 40.9 mm (1-5/8"), max 62.5 mm (2 1/2") clip width 300 mm (12"). Knudson Manufacturing Inc. – “I.M.C. 2401 Fixed Strip Clip.” Fastened 600 mm (24") O.C.
