The metal panel listed and described below is accepted for use in the RoofStar Guarantee Program. |
The roofing assembly / material information published below and in the RCABC Roofing Practices Manual DOES NOT represent a complete set of the manufacturer's published data, nor does it represent a detailed specification. The preparation of a detailed specification is the responsibility of the design authority. For more information about this product or system, consult the manufacturer. |
OVERVIEW
The AR9150 standing seam panel is formed with an on-site/in-shop continuous metal roofing panel roll forming machine (Schlebach Quadro+). This machine produces a standing seam panel with a seam height of 38 mm (1½") and profiles can vary from 200 mm (8") wide up to 652.5 mm (26½") wide. This machine also produces a Nail-strip panel and a Snap-lock panel.
On-site roll forming provides for the elimination of end laps with continuous panel forming capabilities in lengths up to nominal 46 m (150').
SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
- General:The AR9150 panel is a standing seam concealed fastener roofing panel. The panel is attached with a hidden roof deck panel clip fastened to the acceptable substrate. The panels are seamed together with a mechanical seamer. The maximum spacing of the clips is 600 mm (24") on centre.
- Range of application: On wood or metal sloped roofs; in commercial, institutional, industrial and residential construction; for re-roofing or new construction.
- Panel Attachment:
- Fasteners (Screws): Fasteners used to attach panels to plywood to be No. 10-12 by 25 mm (1") long pancake head wood screws. Minimum two fasteners per clip to be used.
- Roof Deck Fasteners (Panel Clips): Two piece assembly consisting of steel base approx 25 mm (1") wide x 150 mm (6") long, minimum thickness of 0.036" (No. 20 MSG) and an upper tab, 41 mm (15/8") high, minimum thickness of 0.020" (No. 26 MSG). One panel clip spaced at 600 mm (24") on centre maximum.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
- Wind Uplift Standards: Engineered designs to resist wind uplift may refer to the British Columbia Building Code, Div. B, Appendix C, Table C-2 which lists various types of loads, including wind loads, for specific reference locations throughout the province. See also Guides and Notes (Wind Resistance) for a simplified calculation procedure. Regardless of the resources indicated here, the Design Authority is responsible to perform accurate wind load calculations and specify securement requirements.
- Materials:RoofStar (RGC) accepted metal panel systems shall be formed of steel conforming to the standards published in the RoofStar Guarantee Standards for ASM Roof Assemblies.
