OVERVIEW
The 1" Super Snap-Loc is metal roof and wall panel formed of 24 gauge. The panel can be applied onto solid sheeting with or without insulation. Width from is 12" to 20", with a 1" height at the male rib. Panels are continuous with no end laps. Sides are raised to accommodate screw heads. Fasteners (screws) used to attach panels to plywood deck to be No. 8 by 1" pan head.
SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
- General: Metal panels employ a hidden fastening system for securement to a solid substrate. 1" Super Snap-Loc design allows the panel seams to interlock without having to use a mechanical seaming device.
- Range of application: on wood or metal sloped roofs and to vertical wall framing in commercial, institutional, industrial and residential construction: also used for roof recovering or roof replacement (retrofit) application.
- Fabrication:
- Unless otherwise shown on drawings or specified herein, fabricate panels in continuous one piece lengths and fabricate flashings and accessories in longest practical lengths.
- Roofing panels shall be factory formed or site formed.
- Verify prior to fabrication.
- If field measurements differ from drawing dimensions, notify Architect / Professional Engineer prior to fabrication.
- Fasteners (Screws): To secure panel clips to steel, use No. 12-16 by 22 mm (1") long self-drilling, self-tapping, hex-washer head plated steel screws without sealing washers. Two fasteners per panel clip used, inserted into panel clip guide holes.
- Panel Clips: Two-piece assembly consisting of a No. 18 or No. 16 MSG min. thick coated steel base approximately 22 mm (1") wide x 125 mm (5") long and No. 24 MSG min thick steel upper tap section height 22 mm (1") as manufactured by metal Roofing Supply Inc. in Denver. One panel clip spaced at 600 mm (24") O.C.
- Delivery, Storage & Handling:
- Protect against damage and discoloration.
- Handle panels with non-marring slings.
