OVERVIEW

Quadro Panel Machine is an on-site/in-shop continuous metal roofing panel roll forming machine. This machine produces Snap Seam – SS 150 with a seam height of 38 mm (1-1/2"). This machine can produce either a Nail Strip System or a Clip system. Panels can be produced for 225 mm (9") to 500 mm (20") wide.

On-site roll forming provides for the elimination of end laps with continuous panel forming capabilities in lengths up to nominal 46 m (150').

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

  1. General: Standing seam panels use a hidden fastening clip system for mechanical fastening to a solid substrate. The maximum spacing of the clips is 600 mm (24") on centre. The panels are locked together with the clips as part of the seam, by use of a mechanical seamer.
  2. Range of application: on wood or metal sloped roofs; in commercial, institutional, industrial and residential construction; for re-roofing or new construction.
  3. Fasteners (Screws): Fasteners used to attach panel nail strip or clips to plywood to be No. 10-12 by 25 mm (1") long pancake head, No. 2 Phillips drive, A-point, coated steel screw. Minimum two fasteners per clip to be used.
  4. Panel Clips: One-piece assembly (Quadro 150 Clip), 43.75 mm (1-3/4") wide and 31 mm (1-1/4") high. Minimum thickness 0.022". (No. 22 MSG). Clips spaced 600 mm (24") O.C., fastened to plywood deck.
  5. Deck Requirements: in keeping with the Standard for Architectural Sheet Metal (ASM) Systems.

SITE CONDITIONS

Minimum roof slope is 1:4 (3" in 12"). Severe conditions (heavy snow or ice) minimum slope is 1:1.5 (8" in 12").

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

  1. Wind Uplift Standards: Engineered designs to resist wind uplift may refer to the British Columbia Building Code, Div. B, Appendix C, Table C-2 which lists various types of loads, including wind loads, for specific reference locations throughout the province. See also Guides and Notes (Wind Resistance) for a simplified calculation procedure. Regardless of the resources indicated here, the Design Authority is responsible to perform accurate wind load calculations and specify securement requirements.
  2. Materials:RoofStar (RGC) accepted metal panel systems shall be formed of steel conforming to the standards published in the Standard for Architectural Sheet Metal (ASM) Systems.
