OVERVIEW

The Nu-Tech Snap-Loc is an on-site continuous panel metal roofing machine. Panel profiles vary from 300 mm (12") to 457 mm (18") wide with a 44 mm (1 3/4") rib. On-site roll forming provides for the elimination of end laps with continuous panel forming capabilities in lengths up to nominal 46 m (150').

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

  1. General: The Nu-Tech Snap-Loc 44 mm (1 3/4") is a snap lock concealed fastener roofing panel. The panel can be formed in any width between 300 mm (12") to 457 mm (18"). Stiffening ribs, striations and / or clip relief can be added depending on the application. The male leg locks along the entire length of the panel and does not rely upon clips to provide additional locking. The Snap-Loc Nu-Tech utilizes 153 mm (6 1/8") of metal in forming the panel legs providing greater structural integrity, which can carry greater loads.
  2. Range of application: on wood or metal sloped roofs; in commercial, institutional, industrial and residential construction; for re-roofing or new construction.
  3. Fasteners (Screws): Fasteners used to attach panel clips to steel to be No. 10-16 by 25 mm (1") long cadmium plated pancake head No. 2 Phillips drive, No. 3 self-drilling points steel screws. Two screws per clip inserted through 6.25 mm (1/4") diameter guide holes.
  4. Panel Clips: One-piece assembly, No. 22 MSG min thick, 88 mm (3 1/2") high. One panel clip spaced at 600 mm (24") O.C. for Class 90.
  5. Deck Requirements: in keeping with the Standard for Architectural Sheet Metal (ASM) Systems.
