OVERVIEW

The New Tech Machinery Panel Machine is an on-site continuous metal roofing panel roll forming machine. This machine produces Seam Lock – SS 150 with a seam height of 38 mm (1-1/2") and Seam Lock – SS 100 with a seam height of 25 mm (1"). Both panel profiles vary from 300 mm (12") to 500 mm (20") wide.

On-site roll forming provides for the elimination of end laps with continuous panel forming capabilities in lengths up to nominal 46 m (150').

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

  1. General: Standing seam panels use a hidden fastening clip system for mechanical fastening to a solid substrate. The maximum spacing of the clips is 600 mm (24") on centre. The panels are locked together, with the clips as part of the seam, by use of a mechanical seamer.
  2. Range of application: on wood or metal sloped roofs; in commercial, institutional, industrial and residential construction; for re-roofing or new construction.
  3. Fasteners (Screws): Fasteners used to attach panel clips to plywood to be No. 10-12 by 25 mm (1") long pancake head, No. 2 Phillips drive, A-point, coated steel screw. Minimum two fasteners per clip to be used.
  4. Panel Clips: One piece assembly 43.75 mm (1-3/4") wide, 31 mm (1-1/4") high. Minimum thickness 0.022 in. (No. 22 MSG). Clips spaced 600 mm (24") on centre fastened to plywood deck. Englert "Series 1000 Interlocking Clip".
  5. Deck Requirements: in keeping with the Standard for Architectural Sheet Metal (ASM) Systems.
