DESCRIPTION

The 1" MR-100 is a metal roof panel formed from 24 gauge. The panel can be applied onto solid sheeting with or without insulation. Width from 300 mm (12") to 500 mm (20") wide with a 25 mm (1") height at the male rib.

On-site rool forming provides for the elimination of end laps with continuous panel forming capabilities in lengths up to nominal 46 m (150').

PART 1 - GENERAL

1.1 The roofing assembly / material information published in the RCABC Roofing Practices Manual DOES NOT represent a complete set of the manufacturer's published data, nor does it represent a detailed specification. The preparation of a detailed specification is the responsibility of the design authority.

1.2 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

.1 Metal panels employ a hidden fastening system for securement to a solid substrate. 1" MR-100 panels are produced with a nail strip to eliminate the use of clips and allow the panel seams to interlock without having to use a mechanical seaming device.
.2 Range of application: on wood or metal sloped roofs, with or without exterior insulation; in commercial, institutional, industrial and residential construction; also used for roof replacement (retrofit) application.
.3 Panel Attachment:
Fasteners(Screws) - Fasteners used to attach panels to steel or wood substrate to be No. 10 - 16 pancake head, No. 2 Phillips drive, self-drilling, coated screw.

1.3 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING

.1 Protect against damage and discoloration.
.2 Handle panels with non-marring slings.
.3 Do not bend panels.
.4 Store panels above ground, with one end elevated for drainage.
.5 Protect panels against standing water and condensation between adjacent surfaces.
.6 If panels become wet, immediately separate sheets, wipe dry with clean cloth, allow to air dry.

PART 3 - EXECUTION

3.1 EXAMINATION – EXISTING CONDITIONS

.1 Verify that structural deck to receive panels is complete, in true plane, secure and otherwise properly prepared.
.2 Prior to starting work, notify General Contractor about defects requiring correction.
.3 Do not start work until conditions are satisfactory.

3.2 PREPARATION – FIELD MEASUREMENTS

.1 Verify prior to fabrication.
.2 If field measurements differ from drawing dimensions, notify Architect / Professional Engineer prior to fabrication.
3.3 PROTECTION
